HELP GET REFUGEES OFF THE STREETS OF MOROCCO - "JUNGO HOUSE"
I have stayed in very close contact with many of the young refugees from the film who are still in Morocco, plus new arrivals who have fled the current catastrophic war in Sudan.
We are renting a small house in Morocco, which has enabled many of the refugees to get off the street, and sleep with a roof over their head, which is essential in providing safety and security, as life on the streets of Morocco can be extremely risky and dangerous.
The house is also very successfully being used as a "social/community house" - for other refugees to to bathe, rest, sleep, cook, eat, charge telephones, etc.
We call this house and project: "JUNGO HOUSE", and it has been a very successful project so far.
Very often in my work, especially following screenings of my films, people ask: "How can I/we help?"
Well - now there is a very concrete and tangible way to make a difference.
